We offer a wide variety of training courses, sponsored by the American Red Cross. All courses include classroom training, demonstration of skills, and a written test. You can help the Red Cross save lives. Become certified in these various areas, or become a health and safety instructor or authorized provider.
Taking a local course is as easy as 1-2-3:
- View the training schedules to decide which course to attend.
- Then, register by calling the Moore County Chapter office (910-692-8571).
- Pre-pay for your course by check or credit card.
Registration and pre-payment are required for all courses. Fees are non-refundable, but they may be applied to another course.

Instructor Training Course: Lay Responder CPR/AED/First Aid
We offer an Instructor-Training course for those interested in becoming a certified instructor for CPR, First Aid, and AED whenever there is sufficient demand. The 20-hour course prepares candidates to teach American Red Cross Health and Safety courses to diverse populations and to introduce the candidates to the policies and procedures of the American Red Cross. The fee for the three-day course is $150.00 payable in advance.
Participants must hold current Red Cross Adult, Child and Infant CPR, AED, and Standard First Aid certification prior to starting the instructor course. Be aware that during the Lay Responder First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Training Program, participants have to pass a Precourse Session, which consists of the written tests and skill evaluations on all the skills taught in the basic level courses for CPR, AED and First Aid. Registration is limited to 10 participants. To register or obtain further information, please contact (910) 692-8571 or email
